Granted a Blue Flag Award in 2015, Durley Chine beach consists of fine golden sand and is arguably the best beach in Bournemouth.

Situated just to the northeast of Alum Chine and Middle Chine in the West Cliff area of Bournemouth, Durley Chine is popular with families and has zoned areas for swimmers and water craft to allow safe bathing.

The beach is patrolled by RNLI Lifeguards in season who operate the 'KidZone' scheme - Used on most Bournemouth beaches. Each child is issued with a coloured wrist tag. The colour of the tag relates to the beach area they are currently occupying. There is room on the tag for the phone number of the parents mobile to be written as well. If the child subsequently gets lost, it is much easier and far less stressful for both parents and children who can be quickly reunited by the lifeguards.

Excellent facilities include a café, shops, toilets and hire facilities for deckchairs, pedalos and boats. Watersports include sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.

Parking is available behind the beach.
