Osmington Mills beach lies on the coast of East Dorset roughly midway between Overcombe near Weymouth and Ringstead Bay.

The rocky beach lies seaward of Osmington Mills village and is relatively easy to access. Boulder strewn, it is not really for children, but is a favourite with geologists as the cliffs at Osmington Mills are well known for their excellent sections of Upper Jurassic Corallian Beds and Kimmeridge Clay; and fossil hunters who may uncover bivalves such as Gryphaea - commomly known as 'Devil's toenails'.

Osmington Mills can be accessed by parking at the bottom of the road at Osmington Mills, off the A353.

A word of caution: Please check tide times before you visit as you can easily be cut off at this location.

If fossil hunting please follow the Fossil Code of Conduct. Do NOT hammer the cliff
.

The location is popular with visitors, offering accommodation in a number of camping and caravan sites, as well as attractive walks along the South West Coast Path.

Osmington Mills is also part of the Dorset and East Devon World Heritage Site, more commonly referred to as the 'Jurassic Coast'.
