1940'S Themed Family Day at the Nothe Fort, Weymouth.
A 1940's themed day.
This is an opportunity to visit areas of the fort not generally open to the public. Take part in the 'Evacuee Experience' with Nothe Fort guides. Displays of military and civilian vehicles and 1940's memorabilia.
1940's live entertainment - music and dancing, & themed activities, side shows and stalls. Meet Winston and Winnie the new Nothe Fort mascots.
The Fort cafe will be open, serving hot and cold snacks and meals. Visit the Fort shop - stocked with 1940's gifts and memorabilia.
We would encourage our visitors to dress 1940's style. There will be an opportunity for children who arrive dressed as evacuees, to meet the Air Raid Patrol man, and take part in the first 'Evacuee Experience' of the day.
The fort is fully accessible for our disabled visitors, and dogs are welcome on the fort site. All areas of the fort will be open to the public for this event.
