Weymouth Beach Kite Festival 2012

5th - 7th May

The 2012 Beach Kite Festival will take place over the May Day Bank Holiday Weekend - Saturday 5th, Sunday 6th and Monday 7th May.

The kite festival is very important to Weymouth and is held in great regard by the Residents, Visitors and the Borough Council, it has certainly become of one of Dorset’s magnificent annual events.

Weymouth's famous golden sands will host a three day Festival of aerial acrobats and colour, giant sky sculptures, stunt kites and many more.

Saturday 5th May will be a casual "kite fun day", with stalls on the Esplanade, family funfair on the Pavilion Forecourt and plenty of kites flying on the beach. The official opening ceremony will take place on Sunday 6th May.
